001 // the more I see the less I know

[ action; Well, Lestrade has had a good few days to settle himself in, Luceti-wise speaking. Been able to read up on the guide, speak to a few locals, talk to a couple of fellow New Feathers, watch two familiar faces fall in out of nowhere... eventful few days, he supposes, but enough to settle.

And when it gets down to it, he's not the sort of man to dawdle around when it looks like he's on the road to a lengthy stay, so he spends the day of the 12th finding a flat that suits his liking. Which is honestly a very easy task because they're all about the same, he just takes his sweet time because he's got nothing better to do. He sets himself in Community Building 1, room 7. Near where John Watson got himself roomed, but not right under his bloody nose because he's a responsible man and the smart sort to boot. Lestrade imagines it's physically impossible to get into more trouble without Sherlock Holmes around, useful as it would be to have him around.

But hey. Whatever happens, happens.

Considering he finishes moving in fairly early in the day, he sticks around for a while trying to get a feel for the place (pretty damn bare-bones, isn't it) and eventually wanders back out into the village for the sake of finding more clothes, picking up food that he doesn't have to actively cook, that sort of thing. Finds a warrant card in the item shop- appreciates that it's nice to have even though it's useful to exactly nobody here. And eventually he's on the couch in the flat again, idly flipping through the journal to hear what he can hear, which brings him around to very casually asking the general population something. He's curious, okay.

Anyone in from London, then?
concasse: (huh↠ go on)

I lied /tags it now

[Oh, look, it's a New Feather in his restaurant.

How Sanji can tell? Well, he's never seen the guy before. Maybe it's haughty of him to assume as much, but he'd like to think he's familiar with a fair bit of the village. New faces stick out like sore thumbs.

He waits for the new guy to settle into a seat before he comes calling.]
Anything to drink?
deadlyjuliet: (Aren't you pretty?)

[Inspector Zenigata is doing his usual rounds around the village, greeting newcomers, helping lost ponies, and in general trying to at least somewhat familiarize himself with the steady stream of newcomers.

This message strikes him as a bit odd since he definitely doesn't recognize the voice associated with it, but he does actually have an apartment in London. Sure, he rarely bothers to stay there, but he does actually like the UK. Its a lot like home]

I have a place there, yea.

Seems we have a few new Londoners this time around. Lived there myself-- before I got dragged here.

[He feels that assessment, enough to nearly act in kind. Sanji's relaxed, though, testament to his many months in Luceti and in this restaurant, that the stranger's look-over gets the brush off. He turns and fetches the water like a good waiter (ha), and this time upon approaching skips some of the pleasantries]

New here, are ya? [Y'know, just to make sure. It'd be embarrassing if Sanji missed a veteran]

And may we be privy to a name? It seems odd to simply give out information without receiving any in return, love.

Little of both. Its more a rest stop between cases than a home.

I agree wholeheartedly. Always good to know someone else here is from a familiar area.

Were you really? They're easy enough to find on these journals, I think. Granted, one of mine was a little girl.

She says her parents are with her. [Don't worry, Sally's appropriately horrified too.] I haven't been able to find them and make sure everything's all right yet, but I'm on it.
